Splash International, a global nonprofit dedicated to delivering sustainable WASH services to public school children in urban areas, invites qualified international firms to submit sealed bids for the supply, installation, and commissioning of an automated gas chlorination system in Hawassa, capital of Ethiopia’s Sidama Regional State.
This tender is part of Splash’s Citywide Water Treatment Support Project, designed to transition municipal utilities from outdated manual chlorination methods to modern, automated disinfection systems. With a population exceeding 430,000, Hawassa faces public health risks due to inconsistent dosing and limited real-time monitoring. This initiative is fully funded by Splash International and builds on its successful WISE, Phase I program model implemented across Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar. Successful performance may position the winning company for direct engagement in the upcoming expansion to Bahir Dar City, without the need for a separate competitive tender
