Splash is an international charitable organization headquartered in Seattle, WA, founded in 2007. Our mission is simple: “We clean water for kids.” In 14 years, we have reached over 700,000 children in cities around the world. In 2019, we embarked on an exciting, five-year initiative, Project WISE (WASH in Schools for Everyone), to reach every government school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Kolkata, India with improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure, WASH behavior change programs, and strengthened school-based menstrual health programs. This project will benefit 800,000 children by 2023.

Location is flexible. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will be performed fully remotely until further notice, with potential for limited working days in the Seattle office if desired.
As a key member of the global management team, the CFO will join a team of collaborative leaders working to realize Splash’s singular mission. The current focus of the team is ensuring the successful completion of Project WISE, while defining the next phase of Splash’s strategy and building the organization in readiness for its implementation.
The CFO ensures that financial considerations are fully represented in decision-making at all levels, and maintains a global culture of finance. The role includes leadership of all financial, budget, audit, and compliance aspects of Splash’s global operations, and plays a critical role in business strategy, planning, and cross-functional processes.
The CFO reports to the Founder and CEO, leading a direct team of three including an FP&A Manager, Controller, and Accountant, and overseeing in-country finance teams. The position is truly global, requiring extensive coordination and communication across time zones, including international travel when that is feasible. The role additionally has a direct line of communication to the Treasurer, the Finance Committee and the Board.
