Ms. Jayati Chatterjee

Ms. Jayati Chatterjee is the focal teacher at the Tirthapati Institution and nurtures Splash’s behavior change program in the school. From the very beginning, she was excited to work with Splash. Tirthapati Institution is a huge high school with more than one thousand students. Ms. Chatterjee’s effort and diligence quickly proved to be outstanding.

After completion of the teacher training, Ms. Chatterjee remained in close contact with Splash to carry out behavior change activities, including preparing training materials and organizing a few essentials to conduct the Child Cabinet training. Ms. Chatterjee was prompt in choosing students from several grades to form a strong Child Cabinet. She was creative, making additional training materials whenever she had time, and she engaged and motivated the cabinet members to create materials for the training themselves, too. She not only arranged the entire three-day training at the school but also facilitated a few sessions herself.

Motivated by the success of the training, Ms. Chatterjee, who is also the librarian at the school, decided to use the library period to spread awareness amongst other students through the Child Cabinet, who started by demonstrating some key hygiene activities and relevant messages to various classes.

Ms. Chatterjee has single-handedly managed and supervised Splash's hygiene activities at the Tithapati Institution and made it highly effective by strategically planning and engaging the Child Cabinet to spread awareness amongst all the students in the school. Her motivation and enthusiasm are deeply appreciated. Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and Ms. Chatterjee’s will is incredibly strong and impassioned from her work with Splash.
