Splash Social Enterprises (SSE) turns what we have learned through years of work in schools across Asia and Africa into durable, child-centered products for high-use, low-resource settings. We make these products available to governments, nonprofits, multilateral organizations, and other WASH partners around the world.

With four manufacturing hubs across East Africa and Asia, we work to keep these solutions practical, scalable, and fairly priced.

Conventional taps are often designed for homes and commercial buildings, not public water points used by hundreds or thousands of people each day. In schools, health facilities, and public handwashing facilities, these taps can break, corrode, be vandalized, or be stolen for their scrap-metal value.

When that happens, the tank, filter, and pipes may still be working, but water can no longer reach the people who need it.

Splash developed the Durable Tap specifically for these conditions: a lead-free, theft- and tamper-resistant tap built for heavy daily use, with a standard connection that works with existing infrastructure.

Tested to 250,000 operating cycles and 10 bar burst pressure. Now deployed in schools in Kenya, Ethiopia, and India.

The same field experience shaped Splash's complete V2 and V3 drinking and handwashing stations. Both models are durable, child-appropriate, easy to clean, and designed to make healthy behaviors simple and appealing.

The Durable Tap is a standalone component designed to strengthen existing infrastructure. The V2 and V3 are complete station systems for schools, health facilities, and other high-use institutional settings.

The V2 station uses distinct colors and basin depths to separate drinking from handwashing. Angled handwashing positions encourage face-to-face use, while smooth surfaces, rounded corners, and accessible maintenance panels make the station easier to clean and service.

Customizable backsplashes can reinforce hygiene behaviors or recognize program partners. The recyclable, fade-resistant LLDPE body is designed for long-term use in demanding environments.

The V3 station adds foot-operated taps that support contactless use and help reduce unnecessary water flow. It also includes flexible soap-holder options, child-accessible height, curved easy-clean surfaces, and maintenance hatches that provide faster access to internal components.

Its security and durability features are designed to reduce breakage, tampering, and theft in high-use school environments.

We do not design products for ideal conditions. We design them for real schools, where hundreds or thousands of students may use the same water point every day, maintenance capacity may be limited, and one failed component can interrupt service.

Our process begins with observation. We identify recurring failure points, develop practical solutions, test them in real settings, and continue refining the design. The result is infrastructure designed around the people who use, clean, maintain, and depend on it.

Splash Social Enterprises combines grant funding, impact investment, and sales revenue to develop and scale practical WASH products. This model supports manufacturing, distribution, continued product improvement, and the shared mission of the Splash International family.
