$53 – Two water quality tests to keep kids safe
$120 – Maintaining the school water filtration system for two years, providing clean water to hundreds of children for years to come
$200 – One awareness event at a school, like Menstrual Hygiene Day, which equips students with skills and education that can help break down stigma
$1,000 – Menstrual health training for all students at a school, empowering them with knowledge and resources
$2,000 – A durable, efficient, and highly-effective water filtration system that guarantees clean water for an entire school for years.
"My name is Selam and I am 14 years old. I have been a member of the hygiene club for two years. After receiving the training, me and my friends are more conscious about our personal hygiene like washing our hands before eating food."
After Selam attended a school hygiene training by Splash, she posted hygiene messages in our house. Every morning before she goes to school, she tells everyone to wash their hands with soap. The Hygiene Club's efforts are recognized at her school, and her involvement with the club sparked her interest in biology.
Selam says, "When I grow up, I want to be a doctor. There are a lot of people who need care [in Addis Ababa]. I want other schools to be beneficiaries of clean water and hygiene education."
